Here we are about 1,150 miles from home in Islamorada, Florida sitting in our room in the Hampton Inn sipping herb tea that we brought up from the lobby. We spent last night in Savannah. We got there early enough to take a nice walk down Bull Street up to Forsythe Park. We saw at least 4 wedding parties along the way including one actual wedding taking place at Forsythe Fountain. This fancy pants couple had just emerged from the Hilton:

This squirrel was practically tame. MK went right up to it and it barely budged until we realized that it was gorging itself on a pile of m&ms that someone left at the base of the tree. All that chocolate can't be good for a woodland critter.

It got a little chilly as the sun went down. 54 degrees by the time we were in for the night. We ate at Hueys on the river. Here's Mikey waiting for his Shrimp Poboy: I always get shrimp and grits when we are in the south, but Huey's was a bit too Cajun for me. We also hit up a fudge kitchen and got some yummy treats there. This morning we drove down 95 and then on Florida's Turnpike listening to The Hunger Games on Dadddy's iPod. I LOVE that book. It was even better the second time for me. We ate at the local BK for dinner where they wanted to charge us 47 cents per package for extra bbq sauce. What the?? We are just down the street from Key Dives' where depending on the weather, we hope to snorkle/scuba dive tomorrow. Right now there is 60% chance of t-storms so it's not looking good. Perhaps we'll go down and be tourists in Key West instead. We shall see.
