In other basketball news, MK played well in her semi-final game yesterday. Well enough to make it to the town championship game which just so happens to be this afternoon during our sacrament meeting. Not only is it during Sacrament meeting, it's also Steven MacDonald's farewell and MK is on the program to give a talk. In the end it was her decision between 2 good things: keeping the Sabbath or honoring a commitment to your team for the biggest game of the year. So she decided that she's going to play and give her talk on another Sunday. We are hitting up Oak Marr ward this AM and then she'll make it back to Vienna for YWs. The game is at Madison HS. Stay tuned...
Meanwhile, a HUGE congrats to Jeff and Krista for their fantastic news! A full tuition scholarship for all 3 years of law school. Thank you Baylor University!!! I've always wanted to check out Texas! Bruce Google mapped the distance between Krista's home town of Cedar City and Waco: 1,308 miles and between Vienna VA and Waco: 1,408 miles. Couldn't be more central!
I was born at Baylor hospital in Dallas and have family down in Waco. Though Waco itself isn't all that pretty (from what I remember - but it was a LONG time ago), you should check out San Antonio and Austin.
ReplyDeleteAt least she can look back now with no regrets. No wondering what would have happened if she had been there. Congrats to her on a very successful season!
ReplyDeleteAlex, We are so excited to check out Texas. They are going to live in a small town called Hewitt which is supposed to be awesome. And thanks for you nice comment Lara, it was a really tough decision for MK. None of my kids have played on Sunday in years and I'm glad we won't be faced with the prospect of doing it again in the foreseeable future. I LOVE Sundays without sports!
