Cocoa 2012 Part 1

I am writing from beautiful Cocoa Beach Florida.  Before we left we took a few pics of our pink dogwood knowing full well these beautiful blooms will be long gone by the time we get home.

Flying was sweet!  We got here in no time.  Our view of the beach from the Hilton.

We love the wide, flat, clean and soft sand beach.  But we especially love how uncrowded it is.  Looking South from our hotel we can see steeple in the distance.  Every time we come we make at least one hike to it.

North of where we stay is the pier.  Also a favorite turn around spot.

When MK wasn't harrassing him, Mikey read the DaVinci Code and Angels and Demons.

MK and Dad played a lot of paddle ball.  Their record was 129 hits without the ball touching the sand.

Mom reading Great Expectations by Charles Dickens on the kindle.

Dad and Mike walked down the beach a little to a cool car show.

This storm chased us off late in the afternoon on day one.  It was kind of fun watching it roll in.

 Set up for day two.

 At the pier.

 Fave past time.

One of three cruise ships that went out on day 2.  We saw the The Disney Fantasy leave port on her maiden voyage.  Why Dad didn't photograph it is beyond me.

 Day 3 at the steeple.

 More paddle ball.
Couldn't ask for better weather, although Mikey would have enjoyed bigger waves.  So far they have been more like waves you would see at the bay.  More later...
